Yes, yes, definely yes: there are many others: Albert Hammond's "It Never Rains in Southern California"
(but that was never one of my favorites), James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" (which is one of a few songs
that are played more than it actually rains), Bruce Hornsby's "Mandolin Rain" (which is not actually
about rain and likely would have been called Mandolin Wind if Rod Stewart didn't beat him to it), and
many other good songs such as The Cascades "Rhythm of the Rain," The Eurythmics "Here Comes that Rain
Again," and the Who's "Love Reign O'er Me" (OK, I should have included that one, not to mention Brook
Benton's "A Rainy Night in Georgia," and I can't believe I forgot Elton John's "Amoreena"). I listed
an artist only once, otherwise I'd have listed CCR's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," Led Zeppelin's
"Fool in the Rain," and the Cure's "Prayers for Rain." What about the last 20 years? Hey, it's sunny
SoCal so my next list may be songs about sunshine.
