17. Sagarika Phadke (IND) 1+.5 3 1 5.5 --- 1.0

Playoff for 2 masters leg spots among the last 3 players. Chriashanti made it
directly, on a draw. Sandhya beat Sagarika to take the 16th spot.
I believe Sagarika also will get one WTA point though she missed the masters.

The whole thing is completely unfair, of course, and that is because ITF's rules
(I suppose) gives a 0.5 for all three players who were part of the qualifying
"draw" in the first leg - though all three had made it without playing a match
when they made a draw. So they all got .5 more points for doing nothing, while
the next SIX players who had exactly as many wins as these three, got jobbed
by ITF's unfair rules [I had thought ITF's rules had this right, till I saw
the news item on who made the masters playoff -- so my earlier (FAIR!) point
 list stands corrected!]

But then again, ITF has always given 1 point for just playing the first round,
so this is not the first illogical/unfair thing out there.....
