Jay2> Lee:  Playibg on clay is particularly harmful to the shoulder now,
- compared to hardcourts, right ?  More chance for off-balance shots, etc, due
- to footing problems ?

- reasonably talented. He is 6' or more, fairly athletic and a hard worker
- (as his father is Naeemuddin, the Indian soccer coach). I think he is
- a good prospect for the future, if nurtured well.

- 5 years, but, I don;' think any sport will overtake the support that cricket
- gets.

[Sues] atul i think that  tennis is one of the most loved sports in
- india....when i was back home in december i saw a lot of kids really
- interested in it.. i think the guy from calcutta is responsible......its
- getting there.....
[Leander] atul: I have a tennis academy which my father looks after and in
- the name of tennis we're trying to build athletes. We pick them up as early
- as 5 years and teach them eye-hand co-ordination as well as the basics of
- tennis. My dad is very good with kids & we have 246 kids at the academy in
- Calcutta.
[Atul] Hey, let 'the guy from calcutta' answer this :-) :-). Sorry, just

Jay1> Yes, the Woodies are at Chennai..  Were paid a handsome appearance
- money too.. Those Australian organizers seem to be paying a lot of
- Australians to play there .. Rafter, Woodies ..  Pat Cash for a wildcard
- last year, etc..
[Leander] atul: its very cut-throat on the circuit being an individual
- sport. But, one makes friends easily, so, its not too bad. The junior
- circuit was much more fun.
[Sues] rafter at chennai?? cash?? i thought he has retired by now.....
[Sues] april its going to be real hot at chennai... how would they favor in
- those hot conditions?
[Leander] sues: its minor tears in the rotator cuff. The elbow and wrist are
- diagnosed as tendonitis due to the shoulder.
Jay1> Cash had a WC last year..  He retired last week, saying he doesn't get
- enough opportunities and the respect as a former Wimbledon champion and all
- that..  Yeah Right ! ...  He got the respect, and then screamed at brian
- Cooney (?) at Madras last year, "your damn tournament", when his shirt was
- stolen from the locker !  ..
[Leander] sues: thats what home court advantage is all about.
[Atul] Lee - Hate to give a 'cricket' anology, but do you get any coaching
- from some senior players on the circuit, like say in cricket, a fast bowler
- gets some 'tips' from say australian fast bowler.
[Sues] lee well be careful....i think u should be real careful...i dont feel
- as bad about u not playing in the davis cup...we could always win next
- year...:)
